No survivors reported in Alaska plane crash near Cape Newenham

A Security Aviation Cessna 441 carrying a pilot and seven passengers crashed west of Cape Newenham, Alaska, while en route from Anchorage to the Cape Newenham area around 12:15 p.m. local time. The flight departed Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Air traffic control alerts indicated the plane didn’t reach the destination, and search-and-rescue teams were on scene near the Cape Newenham Long Range Radar Site. There were no indications of survivors as of Thursday afternoon. The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration are investigating.
