Penn State frat coke ring: ringleader hauled to court as Snapchat-driven drug pipeline exposed

The alleged Penn State cocaine trafficking network, led by 24-year-old Agostino Abbatiello, was brought before a Centre County court for a preliminary hearing as prosecutors described a scheme linking Penn State fraternities Sigma Chi and Delta Upsilon to cocaine suppliers in New York and Philadelphia. Deals ranged from small to large quantities and were arranged via Snapchat and Venmo, with pledges allegedly bagging drugs for sale to students. In total, about 5.6 pounds of cocaine valued around $120,000 were involved in transactions dating back to fall 2023, and 14 students have been charged in the case; Abbatiello sought a continuance which the court denied, allowing the hearing to proceed.
