Virginia Elementary Evacuated as Police Sweep After Shooting Report

Police evacuated Westwood Hills Elementary in Waynesboro, Virginia, after reports of a shooting. Authorities including the ATF responded, one adult was injured, and all students and staff were accounted for and reunified at a nearby church. Nearby Waynesboro schools were placed on lockdown as a precaution, and by about 11:05 a.m. officials said the scene was contained and the district could return to normal operations.
