House Ethics Committee Stalemate Over Gaetz Report Sparks Controversy
TL;DR
The House ethics committee is deadlocked along party lines on whether to release a report on allegations against Matt Gaetz, with Democrat Susan Wild accusing committee chair Michael Guest of "betraying the process." The committee, evenly split between Democrats and Republicans, will reconvene on December 5 to discuss further. The report involves serious allegations against Gaetz, including sexual misconduct and misuse of funds, which he denies.
