Safety concerns arise after multiple deaths and incidents at Lake Mead.

Lake Mead National Recreation Area reported six deaths, including two drowning deaths and three fatalities in a multiple-car accident, and 23 rescues over Father's Day weekend. Park rangers also responded to reports of criminal incidents, including assault, theft, and drug use. The National Park Service urged visitors to take safety measures, such as wearing life jackets and driving the speed limit, while at the park. Lake Mead is one of the Top 10 most visited national parks and recreation areas in the U.S. and covers 1.5 million acres.
