Weighing 802.5 pounds with a belly girth of 66 inches, the creature was harvested during the state's hunting season by a group of hunters. It took them seven hours to capture the alligator, which proved to be mentally exhausting. The previous record was set in 2017 with an alligator measuring 14 feet, 0.75 inches and weighing 766.5 pounds.
