Mississippi child dies after officer-involved shooting during Walmart shoplifting probe

A child died after an officer-involved shooting in Senatobia, Mississippi, during a Walmart shoplifting investigation. Police say two suspects and a child fled the store in a car; the driver allegedly tried to strike an officer, prompting an officer to discharge their weapon. The group then went to the hospital, where the child died and another person was in critical condition. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is handling the investigation.
