Tate brothers face extradition bid after US arrest and new UK charges

British prosecutors have escalated the Tate brothers’ case by filing more UK charges after their US arrest in Miami, seeking their extradition. Andrew Tate faces seven additional counts of rape, three of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and 19 additional charges relating to indecent images, bringing his total to 42; Tristan Tate faces two more counts of rape, one count of sexual assault, and three trafficking-related charges, bringing his total to 17. The offences are alleged to have occurred between 2010 and 2017, with seven alleged victims cited. Extradition would proceed under the UK–US treaty, with the Home Office and US authorities involved and the final decision resting with the US Secretary of State; the DOJ says the arrests are for extradition proceedings. The brothers deny the allegations and have previously been under investigation in Romania, with European arrest warrants issued prior to travel to the US.
