Texas Floods Kill Over 80 as Rescue Efforts Continue
TL;DR
Severe flash floods in central Texas have resulted in at least 82 deaths, including 28 children, with ongoing rescue efforts and fears of more rain and flooding. A group of 10 girls from a summer camp remains missing, and authorities are working tirelessly to find them amid warnings of additional heavy rainfall. The disaster has prompted federal and state responses, including a major disaster declaration and a day of prayer, while raising concerns about weather prediction and federal funding cuts to the National Weather Service.
