UN escalator malfunction sparks conspiracy theories involving Trump
TL;DR
During his visit to the UN, President Trump experienced a stopped escalator and a broken teleprompter, which he humorously commented on. The UN explained the escalator halt was likely due to a safety mechanism triggered by a videographer standing backwards, and the teleprompter issues were also noted. Despite these technical difficulties, Trump considered the speech more interesting because of them.
