DeLauter’s 2-HR debut fuels Guardians’ 6-4 win over Mariners

Guardians rookie Chase DeLauter hit two homers, including one in his first major league at-bat, as Cleveland beat Seattle 6-4. Brendan Donovan homered for the Mariners in his first at-bat with Seattle, while Dominic Canzone added two solo homers and Luke Raley also went deep for Seattle. Cleveland’s Rocchio and Ramírez produced two-run doubles to propel the lead; Tanner Bibee left with right shoulder inflammation and Cade Smith earned the save. Gabe Speier took the loss for Seattle. The four-game series continues Friday with George Kirby opposing Gavin Williams.
