Diamond Sports Group ordered to pay full value of contracts to MLB teams.

Diamond Sports Group, which runs broadcasts under the name Bally Sports, has been ordered by a US bankruptcy judge to fully pay the Minnesota Twins, Cleveland Guardians, Arizona Diamondbacks and Texas Rangers the amount agreed in their contracts. Diamond had argued that the rapid rate of cord cutting had significantly devalued the assets, but the judge ruled that the contract rate was the right answer. The ruling could push Diamond to shed the four teams in the near future, or perhaps some of the other nine major league teams under its ownership.
