Zach Edey Opts Out of Purdue Return for 2024-25 Season
TL;DR
Zach Edey, the reigning national player of the year, will not use his extra year of eligibility to return to Purdue in 2024-25, making this season his last at the college level. Edey has been a dominant force for Purdue, ranking second in scoring and third in rebounding among all Division I players this season. With Purdue positioned for a potential No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, Edey could potentially repeat as Player of the Year, a feat achieved only by Ralph Sampson and Bill Walton in the past.
