Chad Wheeler Sentenced to Nearly Seven Years in Prison for Domestic Violence Attack

Former NFL lineman Chad Wheeler has been sentenced to nearly seven years in prison for a vicious attack on his former girlfriend, during which he strangled her twice, causing her to lose consciousness and suffer a fractured humerus and a dislocated elbow. Wheeler, who was waived by the Seattle Seahawks after being charged with domestic violence, was found guilty of first- and second-degree assault/domestic violence but not guilty of false imprisonment. He claimed the attack was a "manic episode" and did not plead guilty to any charges.
