High school basketball player and family arrested for assaulting coach after benching

A high school basketball coach in Texas was attacked by one of his players and the player's family in the school's parking lot after the coach benched the student during a game due to his behavior towards an opposing team player. The coach suffered injuries to his head, neck, face, and arms. Both the 17-year-old student and his 22-year-old brother were arrested and charged with assault on a public servant. They have since been released on bond, and the investigation is ongoing.
