Missouri Sheriff's Deputy Assaulted by Baseball Umpire.

A baseball umpire identified as Neal Sidebottom was arrested and charged with first-degree assault and resisting arrest after he allegedly wrestled a Missouri sheriff's deputy to the ground and put him in a chokehold. The incident occurred after the umpire refused to identify himself to the deputy and attempted to walk away following a disagreement with a parent of a player who claimed the umpire shoved her. The deputy was taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries suffered during the struggle.
