Iowa's "Field of Dreams" Transforms with New Purpose and Amenities
TL;DR
Plans for a "Field of Dreams" TV series based on the iconic baseball field in Dyersville, Iowa, were canceled, leaving the Moeckly family with a built baseball field and no show. Despite the setback, the family has partnered with North Polk Schools to allow the local high school baseball team to use the field. The community hopes to make the most of the situation, with plans for a "Sandlot"-style evening of baseball fun and the eventual goal of playing a regular season game on the field.
