Boston aims to make its nightlife a longer, livelier affair

Boston’s nightlife economy chief Corean Reynolds says the city is just getting started after a blockbuster summer of FIFA World Cup, Sail Boston, and Boston 250. Pilots extended hours and created social districts, boosting business and drawing new customers, with 3 a.m. extensions in Union/Marshall and Temple Place. The city plans to evaluate what worked, push for less-restrictive alcohol rules, expand to more neighborhoods, and improve night-time transportation as it seeks a permanent, inclusive 24-hour nightlife.
