Vikings Preseason Finale: McCarthy in limbo, Brosmer in the spotlight, and final 53 decisions
TL;DR
McCarthy’s ankle health and a looming 53-man cutoff push Minnesota toward a drama-filled preseason finale, with insiders suggesting he could be traded or waived by Sunday while Max Brosmer is set for a near-full game to showcase his viability. Beyond the QB storyline, Friday’s game will double as a final audition for the RB3, WR6, TE, and several depth positions (OL, EDGE/DL, linebackers, safeties, and punter) as the Vikings trim to 53 by weekend’s end, framing what the roster and McCarthy’s future look like going into the regular season.
