Giants Bring In Arraez on 1-Year, $12M Pact to Man Second Base
TL;DR
The San Francisco Giants signed infielder Luis Arraez to a one-year, $12 million contract, with Arraez expected to play second base (pending a physical). The deal, which matches a prior projection for value and lets him reach free agency after 2026, boosts the Giants’ 2026 payroll to about $206 million (CBT payroll ~ $232.7 million). It adds a contact-oriented bat to a power-heavy infield and follows Harrison Bader’s recent 2-year signing.
