Eury Pérez threw seven perfect innings for the Miami Marlins in a 9-8 win over the Oakland Athletics, but he was pulled after 92 pitches, sparking controversy as Oakland’s bullpen allowed five runs without recording an out in the ensuing frame; Pérez struck out eight, and if healthy he’s expected to start again vs. the Guardians.
