Christian Lundgaard secured pole position for the Indianapolis Grand Prix, leading a close group in the Firestone Fast Six session. The Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing team secured pole, fourth, and eighth for the race. Lundgaard's lap of 1m09.3321s was just 0.0027s ahead of Arrow McLaren's Felix Rosenqvist and Chip Ganassi Racing's Alex Palou was only 0.0459s behind. The rest of the Fast Six was rounded out by Jack Harvey, Pato O'Ward, and Kyle Kirkwood.
