Palou dominates Road America IndyCar race, extends points lead.

Chip Ganassi Racing's Alex Palou has accepted an apology from Team Penske's Josef Newgarden for their collision at Road America during the IndyCar race. Palou admitted his mistake of running wide at Turn 5, which allowed Newgarden to get a run on him. Newgarden squeezed Palou at the turn-in point, causing a collision that sent Palou wide onto the entry curbing and grass. Newgarden finished 4.5s behind Palou but feels that he lost his opportunity to beat him at the following restart.
