Deadly Rains Halt Formula One Grand Prix in Northern Italy.

Exceptional rains in drought-struck northern Italy have caused floods, killing at least six people and forcing thousands to evacuate. The floods have also led to the cancellation of the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. Officials have called for a national plan to combat climate change-induced flooding, as Italy is increasingly experiencing Africa-style tropical weather, with long periods of drought punctuated by intense rainfall that can't be absorbed by the soil. The Balkans have also been affected, with "apocalyptic" floods, landslides, and evacuations reported in Croatia, Bosnia, and Slovenia.
