Deadly Rains Halt Formula One Grand Prix in Northern Italy.

Exceptional rains in drought-struck northern Italy have caused floods, killing at least six people and forcing thousands to evacuate. The floods have also prompted officials to call for a national plan to combat climate change-induced flooding. The heavy rains and floods have forced Formula One to cancel this weekend’s Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix to not overtax emergency crews that were already stretched thin in responding to the emergency. The floods have also affected parts of Croatia, Bosnia, and Slovenia, causing landslides and evacuations.
