Garden, City at Odds Over Game 4 Watch-Party Security
TL;DR
MSG criticized city leaders for a security 'frozen zone' around Madison Square Garden for Game 4 of the NBA Finals, while Mayor Mamdani announced a ticketed outside watch party with a security perimeter from W.29th to W.35th Sts. between Sixth and Eighth Aves and entry restrictions beginning at 4 p.m.; the plan mirrors Game 3 and follows earlier disruptions at related events, with additional watch sites at Wollman Rink and Brooklyn Bowl. Critics say the measures dampen celebration and hurt small businesses, even as police work to keep fans safe.
