Hayton Stays Put as Rumors Circulate Around Hellebuyck, Edvinsson, and Larkin
TL;DR
Utah Mammoth matched the New Jersey Devils’ offer sheet for Barrett Hayton, keeping him on a one-year, $4.775M deal and blocking a trade for the season (extensions could come after Jan. 1). The Hurricanes are discussed as a potential home for Simon Edvinsson, leveraging offer-sheet strategies amid Nikishin contract talks. Colorado Avalanche rumors suggest Connor Hellebuyck was at least explored, though a deal would require major cap moves. Detroit remains firm on Dylan Larkin, with no trade offer meeting Detroit’s expectations and Larkin likely to start the season in Detroit.
