Whoopi Goldberg backs Knicks’ White House visit with Trump, sparking on-air debate
TL;DR
Whoopi Goldberg defended the Knicks’ plan to visit President Trump at the White House after their NBA Finals win, saying she wants ‘all those black men to stand in our house’ to remind critics of Black history; the Knicks’ invitation, reportedly accepted with owner James Dolan’s backing, drew mixed reactions on The View, with some hosts arguing it warrants respect for the office while others caution it could politicize or pressure players.
