Tour de France Stage 9 cut short as central France bakes under red heat alert

Stage 9 of the Tour de France was shortened by 30km to 155.5km due to a red heat alert in Corrèze, with temperatures forecast around 38–41°C; a 30km section between Malemort and Ussel was removed and the stage will run from about 1:45pm to 5:30pm local time.
