Controversy Surrounds Dodgers' Invitation to Drag Queen Nuns for Pride Night

Chapter of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a group that satirizes the Catholic faith, during a June 16 LGBTQ+ Pride Night game. The Dodgers initially backed down from their plans after criticism from Catholic advocacy groups and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida, but later reversed course and issued an apology and a new invitation to the Sisters. Catholic advocacy groups have vowed to launch a “barrage” of advertising against the team, and the Catholic League has called for a boycott of the event.
