The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a group known for Catholic chic drag, philanthropy, and street theater, have been a positive force in San Francisco for over 40 years. Despite being the center of a national controversy when the Los Angeles Dodgers disinvited an L.A. Sisters chapter from an upcoming LGBTQ+ Pride Night, the group has always engaged in joy and peaceful protest on behalf of the disenfranchised and powerless.
