Angels Bolster Lineup with Cron and Grichuk Acquisitions

The Los Angeles Angels have acquired outfielder Randal Grichuk and first baseman C.J. Cron from the Colorado Rockies in exchange for two Minor League pitching prospects. The Rockies will also send around $2 million to the Angels. Grichuk, who can play all three outfield positions, has been performing well in July and will be a free agent at the end of the season. Cron, a 10-year veteran, has signed a two-year extension with the Rockies but will also be a free agent after the season.
