"A's Explore Temporary Home Options in Sacramento and Salt Lake City"
TL;DR
Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento is being considered as a possible temporary home for the Athletics baseball team as their lease at the Oakland Coliseum is expiring, leaving them without a stadium until their new ballpark is built. While some fans are excited about the prospect, others believe the team should go back to discussions with the city of Oakland. West Sacramento city leaders and fans are considering the potential impact of adding another professional franchise to the community, while Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg sees the possibility as a demonstration of the city's enthusiasm for local, professional sports.
