Balogun red card stands: no appeal, suspension spills into USA’s next World Cup clash
TL;DR
Balogun was sent off for a dangerous foul on Tarik Muharemovic; under FIFA rules, red cards aren’t appealable and suspensions can be extended by FIFA. He will miss the USA’s next World Cup match against Belgium, with potential for additional sanctions if FIFA extends the ban, and may attend the game in a limited capacity.
