Brewers Make Notable Picks in 2023 MLB Draft
TL;DR
The Milwaukee Brewers selected Nebraska-Omaha infielder Mike Boeve with the 54th overall pick in the 2nd round of the 2023 MLB Draft. Boeve is a college hitter with exceptional bat to ball skills and a standout hit tool. While lacking in power and speed, he has the patience and pitch recognition to draw walks. Defensively, he is likely a fit at second base due to his arm strength. Boeve's performance in the Cape Cod League last year boosted his draft stock, and the Brewers return to their tried and true draft philosophy with this selection.
