Cardinals Move Willson Contreras Away from Catcher Position
TL;DR
The Cardinals have added Tres Barrera as a third catcher to their roster and plan to use former All-Star catcher Willson Contreras mostly as a designated hitter and sometimes in left field. Andrew Knizner will be the primary catcher. The team is looking to improve their execution and choices with two-strike pitches.
