Cleanup underway at Augusta National after trees collapse during 2023 Masters.

Augusta National Golf Club quickly cleaned up the area at hole No. 17 where three trees fell during the 2023 Masters. The damage was visible between the professional and members tee boxes, but the grounds crew cut the trees within a half hour of their fall. An absorbent compound filled the holes where two of the trees stood, and pine straw covered the now-empty location of a third tree. Patrons were not concerned about other trees coming down and were more interested in watching players resume their second round of play.
