Cubs' Offensive Surge Sets Up Wild Card Showdown with Giants
TL;DR
The Chicago Cubs had a strong offensive performance, with multiple players having multi-hit games, including Mike Tauchman and Nick Madrigal. Jameson Taillon struggled with giving up home runs despite his high strikeout numbers. There is frustration over the Cubs' handling of Alexander Canario's call-up, as he has yet to make his big league debut. The Cubs are currently in the NL Wild Card race and are looking to solidify their chances of securing a spot.
