Dodgers’ seven-game slide ends in heartbreak against Diamondbacks
TL;DR
The Los Angeles Dodgers, defending World Series champs, lost their season-high seventh straight game in a 4-3 walk-off defeat to the Arizona Diamondbacks, with closer Edwin Diaz yielding a late homer after a string of struggles. Despite the skid, LA still holds a comfortable NL West lead (7.5 games) and has been 10-16 since July 5. Manager Dave Roberts urged better play, noting the team’s talent and upcoming help from trade-deadline acquisition Tarik Skubal and the return of Blake Snell, while the offense and bullpen look to rebound.
