"Giants Promote Prospect Wade Meckler in Series of Moves"
TL;DR
The San Francisco Giants are designating outfielder Luis González for assignment after a slow start to the 2023 season in Triple-A Sacramento. González, who had a productive 2022 season with the Giants, has been dealing with injuries and underwent surgery in March. With one minor league option year remaining, there is a decent chance he will be claimed off waivers by another team.
