Guardians Recall Watson for MLB Debut as DeLauter Lands on IL
TL;DR
The Cleveland Guardians placed outfielder Chase DeLauter on the 10-day injured list with a rib fracture and recalled Kahlil Watson, who will make his MLB debut once he appears in a game. DeLauter’s absence removes a promising bat as Cleveland also copes with injuries to Ramirez and Martinez; Watson, a former top prospect with improving power and speed, gets a chance to impact a thin outfield, though his strikeout tendency remains a concern.
