Joe Pavelski, the Dallas Stars forward, announced he does not intend to play in the NHL next season. Pavelski, who will turn 40 in July, had a successful 18-season career with 1,068 points in 1,332 regular-season games. Despite a strong regular season, his performance dipped in the playoffs, and Dallas was eliminated by the Edmonton Oilers. Pavelski plans to spend more time with his family and coach his son in youth hockey.
