"Julio Teheran Released by Mets After Disappointing Debut"

The New York Mets have designated veteran pitcher Julio Teheran for assignment after just one start, in which he allowed four runs in 2 ⅔ innings. This move comes after Teheran signed a major league contract with the Mets last week to fill in for an injured pitcher. In a corresponding move, the Mets called up Dedniel Núñez from Triple-A Syracuse.
