Chicago White Sox closer Liam Hendriks revealed that he may have been pitching with lymphoma for most of last season after discovering lumps in his neck and hips last June. Hendriks, who was diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in December, is now cancer-free and ready to return to the big leagues after completing a rehab assignment. He announced his diagnosis publicly in January and began chemo treatments around the same time. Hendriks believes his ailment impacted him last season, especially late in the year, and is grateful for the support he received from the baseball community.
