Liam Hendriks' Health Update: Positive Progress for White Sox Closer.
TL;DR
The Chicago White Sox will start the season without closer Liam Hendriks, who is undergoing treatment for non-Hodgkins lymphoma. The team is leaving open the possibility of his return within the first two months of the season. The team is also considering Oscar Colas, Eloy Jimenez, or Romy Gonzalez for the first start of the year in right field. The White Sox are moving on from utilityman Leury Garcia, who still has $11 million remaining on his contract, and will likely be replaced by Hanser Alberto.
