Luis Severino's Injury Puts Yankees in a Tough Spot.
TL;DR
Yankees starting pitcher Luis Severino will likely start the season on the injured list due to a low-grade lat strain, joining Carlos Rodón and Frankie Montas on the shelf. Top prospect Anthony Volpe is making a strong case for the starting shortstop job, while the Yankees bullpen still has two openings to fill. Aaron Judge tops FanGraphs' preseason positional rankings for right field, but Reggie Jackson, who left his role as a long-time advisor for the Yankees to join the Astros, has opened up about feeling unheard and like a "hood ornament" in his former role.
