Madison Bumgarner Designated for Assignment by Diamondbacks
TL;DR
The Arizona Diamondbacks have designated Madison Bumgarner for assignment due to his poor performance, with a 10.26 ERA in four starts this season. Bumgarner, a former San Francisco Giants ace, signed a five-year contract with the Diamondbacks after the 2019 season. Some speculate that the Giants may take a chance on him, as they are in need of something to draw attendance and have a history of bringing back former players.
