Marlins Place Snelling on IL with UCL Sprain, Garrett to Start Thursday
TL;DR
The Miami Marlins placed rookie left-hander Robby Snelling on the 15-day injured list with a left elbow UCL sprain, prompting Braxton Garrett’s recall to start in Snelling’s place. Snelling had just debuted after a rotation shakeup, and the injury creates uncertainty for the rotation, possible promotions from the minors (like Thomas White), and could influence the team’s trade and development plans depending on the severity and whether surgery is needed.
