Mavericks move on from Jason Kidd after five-year run
TL;DR
Dallas announced Jason Kidd is leaving after five seasons as head coach, capping a run that included a 2024 NBA Finals appearance but faltered after Luka Dončić was traded in February 2025 and a wave of injuries; new president Masai Ujiri will lead a thorough coaching search as the Mavericks pursue a new direction, leaving Kidd with a 205-205 record.
