TL;DR

In Game 6, Boston defenseman Charlie McAvoy was ejected after a high, two-handed slash and a cross-check at Zach Benson as Buffalo eliminated the Bruins 4-1. Benson drew a two-minute minor for tripping, while McAvoy received a game misconduct and a five-minute major for slashing, with any additional discipline to come at the start of the 2026-27 season. Buffalo advances to the second round for the first time since 2007, Pastrnak scored Boston's lone goal, and McAvoy finished the series with two assists in six games.
